K.Dot was amazing, Gainesville wasn't.
The concert was scheduled to start at 8:00 P.M., and I know every main event has their openers and everything, but wow, the first kid who was on stage was terrible. Once Sons of Legion got on stage, everything was great. Then they followed up with Melanie Fiona, and that almost put me to sleep.
However, Gainesville just isn't the city for Sons of Legion. Overall, Sons of Legion had an awesome set, a great mix of old and new, and they were very energetic and satisfying performers. I think half the people in the O'Connell Center were only there because they hear Swimming Pools on the radio a couple of times.
There were chairs set up in the pit, which is ridiculously stupid, but I guess it didn't matter because the people who were actually down there didn't look very excited at all. The only thing I could say they could change would be, to maybe do some different things show to show. I've noticed that they keep a script almost, for basically every show they do. It would be nice to get a completely unique show.
